Jay Vincent is a young, multitalented musician living in Los Angeles, with professional ventures as a composer, performer, conductor, orchestrator, arranger, and music producer. He holds degrees in Composition, Film, and a graduate degree in Film Scoring, all from USC.
In his short lifetime he has written music ranging from Gregorian Chant to Heavy Metal, from Afro-Cuban Merengue to Atonal Classical, from Avant-Garde Jazz to classic songwriting. His performing career has led him to places such as Austria, bringing Haydn to life with the Vienna Philharmonic, or the Vatican, singing for Pope Benedict's 80th Birthday.
For the last several years, Jay's musical focus has been on storytelling, composing extensively for film, television, live theater, the Web, as well as music accompanying meditation and spiritual growth. His background as
a guitarist makes Broken Dreams an especially rewarding adventure, merging the duties of composer and performer. Up next he's off to the Bolivian jungle to score UtopĂa, a feature film consisting largely of native tribal instruments, as well as supervising their onscreen performance.
